* Info on submitting poetry:
Flying Island welcomes submissions of up to three previously unpublished poems from writers with ties to the Midwest. We are looking for well crafted pieces of 50 lines or less in any form or style, poems that move us, challenge us, or intrigue us. Begin each poem on a separate page and avoid including any personal author information on your document. We appreciate your using Times New Roman 12 point font. Include a short bio written in third person that begins with your name and could appear with your poem upon publication. Simultaneous submissions are encouraged: just send a note through Submittable if your poem has been accepted elsewhere before we have responded. We look forward to reading your work.
